Environmental Site Assessment
We realize the importance of accurate and comprehensive Environmental Site Assessments and Site Contamination Remediation strategies that will address our clients specific environmental concerns, as well as their budget.
Site Compliance & Audits
Many environmental audits also evaluate compliance with workplace health and safety rules of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). It makes sense to include an OSHA audit if you are already making the significant investment of time and money required for an environmental compliance audit. Environmental compliance audits are useful not only for pointing out compliance problems but also in preparing for a regulatory agency inspection or the sale of a business.
Hazardous Waste Management
The term "hazardous waste" comprises all toxic chemicals, radioactive materials, and biologic or infectious waste. These materials threaten workers through occupational exposure and the general public in their homes, communities, and general environment. Exposure to these materials can occur near the site of generation, along the path of its transportation, and near their ultimate disposal sites. Most hazardous waste results from industrial processes that yield unwanted byproducts, defective products, and spilled materials. The generation and disposal of hazardous wastes is controlled through a variety of international and national regulations.
Designated Substance Surveys
Under Section 30 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act the Act, it is the responsibility of the project "Owner" or "Manager" to arrange for a site assessment in order to evaluate if any designated substances are present at the subject project site prior to commencing a project. The main purpose of this assessment is to protect workers and the public from health and safety hazards on the job.
Indoor Air Quality Assessments
Poor indoor air quality affects health and is some cases work productivity. Air borne pollutants can be carried from your work place and into your home, or vice versa, and will consequently affect others that are not directly exposed to the source.
Certificates of Approval
Any facility that releases emissions to the atmosphere, discharges contaminants to ground or surface water, provides potable water supplies, or stores, transports or disposes of waste must have a Certificate of Approval before it can operate lawfully. It is the responsibility of owners and operators of these facilities to apply for and obtain Certificates of Approval.
